what is shutter speed?

is a measurement of the time the shutter is open, shown in seconds or fractions of a seconds.

how shutter speed work technically (in camera) & visually (in photo):

the aperture affects the exposure as well as the depth-of field, the shutter affects more than just the exposure. The shutter speed is also principally responsible for controlling the amount of blur in a picture.

what happens to the exposure triangle when you change your shutter speeds?

It effects your ISO so you gotta play with the ISO to balance out your light meter.
